Oops

Heres a little something as my way of saying thanks to those who have emailed me with kind words, especially about GLC #25. It is really nice to get up and go to work with a little extra spring in my step knowing that it was well received.

Not that I would know. I have yet to receive my copies of the issue.

Usually I get a box the week before or the week of the issues arrival on shelves. But this month? Nothing. I live quite a ways from a decent comic book store and I absolutly rely on my box of comic book comps. They are usually very regular.

Not that I'm complaining. In fact I am quite greatful that DC sends us comps at all. It really is a great perk.

But what happened to them? I honestly don't know. Every day I peek at my doorstep filled with the vein hope that there will be the familiar little brown box, neatly tucked along side my doormat. But everyday I turn away, head hung and drudge off to the studio, crestfallen and empty handed.

What if they were stolen? Now that I think of it, that neighbor kid has been playing around my driveway a lot. Or maybe they are just lost somewhere. Maybe some guy, a down on his luck GL fan, who only recently was forced to choose between putting gas in his car or his monthly CORPS fix, woke up one day and got a surprise on his life......a nice brown box full-to-bursting with brand spanking new GLC comics!

I rather like that idea.

But I don't want anyone to worry about me. My buddy Adam Schlagman over at DC has assured me that he can get me some. Phew. That is a relief.

So in closing, I hope that guy out there enjoys his comic books. If you happen to be reading this, no harm done, and no need to return them. And hey, don't feel bad about putting gas in your car, man. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. We all understand.

Besides tonight I'm satisfied. Satisfied because I know that out there somewhere, someone is doin alright.
