"ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?"

Oh kaaaaaaaay.... Not the overwhelming participation I expected in the old casting call. Well fine, I understand. Perhaps it's bribery you need? Well then, HAVE AT YOU! More sketches!

And while I'm at it, heres a Sinestro War trailer that a fan put out there on the youtube. The voice over is kind of brutal, but I still thought it was pretty awesome. Kind of makes you wonder if a Sinestro Corps tie in to the upcoming GL movie could happen.....hmmmmm...I wonder who they would cast....

Ask PAT. My official position on the matter is; "OUCH!"

Casting call!

So I spent a few hours the other night online just looking for the people who I think of in my head when I draw some of the GLS.
Anyone out there have any ideas of who they think of, or would like to see fill the boots of our favorite ring slingers? Im especially curious about guys like Ion and Arisia.
Id love to see what anyone comes up with. So.....GO!

Cannon fodder, and because I love; GLC 25.

There is no end of highly flammable items flooding my office or mind at any one time, its just a matter of where to begin.
So maybe I should just show a little of what I come across each day. Like a few random commissions and sketches or maybe just what I am working on at the moment.

The first is from NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind. One of the fantastic Studio Ghibli movies. I could write a whole post on what I like about those films. The second is none other than our friendly neighborhood whats his face! And last but not least, the cover for Green Lantern Corps #25!

Wow that was easy! I should do this more often.

Culanns Hounds

Who is Irish and stays on your lawn all summer?....

Paddy-O Furniture.

(It's all in the delivery folks.)

Now Im sitting here stuffed on Corned beef and cabbage, kindly provided by my wife's grandparents, and I find my self hankering to be in a pub somewhere listening to some good old Irish music. Really any band would do but I have one in mind. I found a video on You Tube of a band that I caught out in San Diego one year at Comic con; Culann's Hounds
Well they weren't actually AT the con they were playing in one of the Gaslamp Quarters Irish pubs one night when I strolled in.

They put on a really great show. The music was arranged well and the energy was high. Their lead singers fiddle playing was really impressive. That is not to mention that after the show when I was trying to decide on a CD to buy from him he gave me both!
So I thanked him and took the CD's home were I listend to them regularly. They still get plenty of rotation at home and in the studio. Its no suprise that I love to listen to them while drawing. I really wish they would get up here to the cities one day, Id love to see them again.

Anyway, I was gratefull for the free music so I thought I'd return the favor here.

If they are ever in your town you had better go check them out, Or just go to their site and buy some stuff. you are guaranteed an foot stompin good time.

Happy St Patricks day!
