Confession.
For the last number of weeks I've been keeping a secret. But no longer.
Yes Veronica, there is a Doug Mahnke, and he's going to be the new artist of Green Lantern.
I'm so relieved that it's finally public is because, well...It's HARD to have a front front row seat to awesomness and not be able to tell anyone! Lately I've spent my days peeking over the drawing table of my good friend and studio mate. Wide eyed as I watched him draw up some Mahnkerific GL pages for us all. This stuff I have seen so far is to cool to drool. No, lie.
Perhaps I should think of posting some ..(ahem)....reconnaissance photos....from the studio?
Anyway, all that to say that with all the groundbreaking talent ALREADY on Green Lantern and Blackest Night, we now have the privilege of welcoming the stylish and PUNCTUAL hand of Mahnke. I think we should all raise our arms and faces to the sky and do our best impression of the Shawshank Redemption ending, because this summer should be AWESOME!

Ahh sketches, Yes you Keep me busy!
Especially when times are tough these days I And I am very glad to have that kind of a problem.
Recently I have stopped taking ANY new sketches and commissions so that I can get caught up on the list from last year that I have going at the moment. I will resume a new list sometime in the next few weeks so be looking for that announcement here.
If I am still working on a sketch for you let me just say thanks for your patience! I am almost done with all of the sketches and will send them out in the next week. From time to time names and sketches get misplaced so if there is anyone who hasn't received their sketch yet and would like for me to double check the list, just send me your name and address along with the sketch you requested and I'll make sure it goes out!

No longer must you stare at the crappy solicit version....here are the final colors! Great Job by everybody!
Oh, and for those of you who cringe at the Idea of an eye being gouged out on a cover, the fact is Arkillo is missing his middle finger Mongul is missing his left eye. It was just a good fit. Like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. "You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" "Yeah, well You've got your finger in my eye up to the knuckle!"

You know what?
I wish I had the time to sing all the praises and highlight the people I have been privileged to meet, get to know, and work with because of this wacky business. Every single one of you have given me something valuable. Be it your time, kudos, patience, trust, friendship, criticism, lunch etc.
I should write a book.
